This week (+ the past couple) have been a really interesting mix of working more hours than before at my part-time retail job, doing freelance work, and digging deep into Rach's course, Bright-Eyed and Blog-Hearted. You've probably noticed that things have been quieter around these parts -- and this course is why. I'm making the conscious decision to step back from publishing as much as I was before so I can devote as much energy as possible to this amazing, amazing course. I'm still doing a LOT for this blog, but not all of it is evident to you darlings from your side of the screen. One of the things from the course I wanted to share with you all is the vision board I made. I have a board on Pinterest for this, but I pulled together my six favorite images + quotes and made this graphic that I have as my desktop background so I see it every day when I use my computer. What have you been up to this week, babe? Let me know in the comments below!
If you follow me on Twitter you would have seen that last night my dad and I went and saw Welcome to Night Vale at the Paramount here in Austin! It was an amazing show + a wonderful time, and I am so glad that I was able to go. I don't want to talk too much about the show in case any of you go and see it in your own cities, but this is my swag -- a beautiful poster (which will become art in my new apartment!) and possibly the most comfortable t-shirt in all of existence.
Last week I FINALLY finished the Purl Bee's Worsted Seed Stitch Wrap!!!! Six and a half months in the making and I have knit the last stitch, woven in all of the ends, and blocked this beauty. It's over seven feet long, and no matter how I arranged it, I couldn't get all of it in a single photograph. I feel so accomplished and proud regarding this piece, and for the fact that I never gave up.I've been accumulating some pieces from Vera Bradley lately, which I love, love, love! My two favorite colors right now are Petal Paisley and Clementine -- I want everything in both. It's kind of a problem. From left to right, I have the Zip ID Case in Petal Paisley, the Neoprene Organizer in Clementine, the Mini Notebook with Pocket in Clementine, and the Mini Hipster in Classic Black.
This week has been a quieter one, it feels like -- I started a new job so I've been working there, doing research + planning loads of exciting things for later this month, and rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer from the beginning. I'm also in LOVE with this little Nine West crossbody that I found in a chest, which means it was my grandma's years and years ago. It's always nice to be able to carry a little bit of her with me wherever I go.
I am also head-over-heels in love with this flower crown from Crown and Glory!!! I mean how beautiful is it? I feel like a magical being every time I wear it and it is serving me well today, as I can now wear red, white, and blue. Well, technically pink, white, and blue, but it's the thought that counts right?
& I'm still obsessing over this vanilla tea from Mariage Frères. Every morning I have a cup and every morning it tastes just as amazing. I've been drinking from my Welcome to Night Vale mug a lot this week, hoping to somehow clue my dad into the fact that we DEFINITELY need to buy tickets for when they come to Austin later this month!!! Hopefully one day he figures out what I'm hinting at.
How has your week been? I'd love to hear about the little things that made up your week in the comments!

To give myself a break from knitting this week, I've been spinning roving that I dyed awhile back with Kool-Aid. I'm not quite sure what I'll do with them yet, but I'm happy to have rediscovered how relaxing and magical spinning yarn is. This week I received my first Influenster VoxBox! I'm so excited to have been chosen for this program. I'm still getting familiar with the products, so keep your eyes on this space for a review in the next couple of weeks.
Something I've been trying to do since coming back from France is to find new shoes to replace all the ones I broke or wore out during my semester abroad. The first purchase I've made are these amazing black flats from Sam Edelman.
During my last few weeks in France I picked up four new teas, but I've only had this amazing vanilla tea from Mariage Freres. Every morning I brew a cup and have it while I get ready for my day and I feel a bit more connected to my life in France.
