Yesterday was the Elevate Austin by Design Conference and I went (despite being hobbled by my tendonitis) all day to be my mom's unofficial personal assistant. The day was a lot more fun than I had anticipated, with engaging and informative panels, wonderful people to connect with and talk to, delicious lunch catered by Chi'Lantro (my favorite Austin food truck!), and a lot of running around. For the conference I wanted to be stylish yet comfortable, especially as I am currently sporting a huge black, clunky knee brace. I wore one of my favorite sleeveless blouses tucked into a midi skirt I acquired in Paris. The watch I've had forever and is essentially a part of my arm at this point, and the shoes are actually my mom's as I don't really have any flats of my own at this point in time. This was actually my first real test of something I've been working on since I returned to America -- creating a minimalistic wardrobe. But I'll share more on that journey later!
